Classification: Hourly

 

SUMMARY
The production cleaving operator works in a manufacturing environment and is responsible for producing and packaging a quality product while completing all assigned duties. The cleaving operator cleans and maintains assigned equipment. Ensuring they are following all safety and other regulatory/plant policies and procedures. The production cleaving operator strives to achieve operational excellence in areas of safety, quality and productivity.   

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         Operates assigned equipment while producing quality product.

 

·         Ensures timely and accurate defect and production tracking

 

·         Reports safety and maintenance issues to line supervisor.

 

·         Completes and stores all required documents.

 

·         Achieves production goals (KPIs) and communicates bridge for under performance.

 

·         Ensures assigned equipment is cleaned according to documented procedure, and report deficiencies to line supervisor.

 

·         Adhere to the policies and procedures of the factory.

 

·         Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by management.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

·         High school diploma or equivalent.

 

·         Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.

 

·         Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

·         Able to work irregular or extended hours, including weekends and nights as needed

 

·         Able to lift 50 pounds without restriction

 

·         Able to stand and be on feet for up to 12 hours

 

·         Able to cope with pressure, a team player
